I make anxious, nervous critters, and trap them within the rigidity of bumbling science.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sawdustbear.com\/\">site<\/a> is full of photos of her work, creatures with names like &#8220;fattybugs&#8221; and &#8220;larms,&#8221; all of which are ridiculously cute.  You would think, for instance, that something called a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sawdustbear.com\/2012\/09\/introducing-the-desecrated-gravebeast\/\">Desecrated Gravebeast<\/a> would not be particularly cuddly, but you would be wrong.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s also a talented illustrator, creating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sawdustbear.com\/2012\/12\/resolutions\/\">cheerfully slimy little animals<\/a> and also one-off silliness like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sawdustbear.com\/2011\/05\/the-macbeth-signal\/\">The Macbeth Signal<\/a>.  She also does a part-drawn, part-sculpted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marlowethemonster.com\/\">webcomic<\/a> which follows the adventures of a schlubby little monster named Marlowe.<\/p>\n<p>She sells some of her items <a href=\"http:\/\/sawdustbear.storenvy.com\/\">online<\/a>, and a few of her posts feature commissions she&#8217;s done, so if you need a whimsical monster of your very own she might be able to oblige.<\/p>\n<p><i>(Hat tip to xJane)<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;and the things that she makes are adorably weird.
