This is Exhibit A.<\/p>\n<p>This costume was worn at a recent DragonCon and was inspired by the <nobr><I>Doctor Who<\/I><\/nobr> episode <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blink_(Doctor_Who)\">Blink<\/a>, the plot of which involved statues that moved when you weren&#8217;t looking at them.  Astonishingly, it&#8217;s mostly painted cloth.<\/p>\n<p>Over at the Replica Prop Forum, member penwiper has posted <a href=\"http:\/\/therpf.com\/showthread.php?t=49264\">detailed instructions<\/a> with lots of pictures explaining how she made this clever costume.  I&#8217;m particularly impressed with her solution for making her exposed skin look like stone.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re feeling ambitious, something like this would certainly make an impressive Halloween costume.  (And if you&#8217;re like me, you&#8217;d have to start right now in order to finish by Halloween.)  You could also do a somewhat simpler version by using a hooded cloak and dressing as a <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/French-Weeper-Gothic-Medieval-decoration\/dp\/B001KO845I\/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&#038;s=miscellaneous&#038;tag=shadmano-20&#038;qid=1228937700&#038;sr=8-7\">pleurant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s spookier than cemetery statuary?
