{"id":3968,"date":"2009-12-15T07:47:06","date_gmt":"2009-12-15T11:47:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shadowmanor.com\/blog\/?p=3968"},"modified":"2009-12-04T16:04:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-04T20:04:00","slug":"the-dragonry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shadowmanor.com\/blog\/?p=3968","title":{"rendered":"The Dragonry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shadowmanor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dragonegg-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Dragon Eggs\" title=\"Dragon Eggs\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"contentimg\" \/>I&#8217;ve mentioned DadCanDo in the past, but since they&#8217;ve done a bit of reorganizing I wanted to call your attention to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dadcando.com\/default_SPECIAL.asp?project=Making_Homepage&#038;section=Making&#038;catagory=TheDragonry&#038;lhs=\">The Dragonry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a whole section of dragon-related items, like these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dadcando.com\/default_MAKING.asp?project=Dragons_Egg&#038;catagory=TheDragonry&#038;lhs=TheDragonry\">dragon eggs<\/a> made from blown eggs and hot glue, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dadcando.com\/default_MAKING.asp?project=DragonGoggles&#038;catagory=TheDragonry&#038;lhs=TheDragonry\">Dragon Hunter&#8217;s Goggles<\/a> which could double as an inexpensive Steampunk accessory, and loads more.  The projects are fairly easy and use readily-available materials, and they&#8217;are a marvelous source of inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>A &#8220;real&#8221; dragon&#8217;s egg would make a wonderful and unique gift for a child (or a Harry Potter-obsessed adult).  It appears that their example uses a chicken egg, but since it&#8217;s embellished with hot glue and then painted there&#8217;s no reason you couldn&#8217;t use a larger plastic or wooden egg instead.
