Everyone coos how perfect it would be for a child&#8217;s room and how inexpensive it is.  Perfect it may be, but they are apparently using a very different scale for &#8220;inexpensive&#8221; than the one used here at Shadow Manor because the cheapest I&#8217;ve found it is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cerealart.com\/shopexd.asp?id=411\">$150<\/a>.  I don&#8217;t plan to give Shadowboy d\u00e9cor worth $150 until two years after his shoe size stops changing.<\/p>\n<p>For something a little cheaper, try the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liapela.com\/product_info.php?products_id=735\">Mathmos Ghost<\/a>, a softly-glowing lamp that &#8220;morphs&#8221; through several colors ($50), or the adorable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/90064441?ddkey=ProductDisplay\">Sp\u00f6ka<\/a> from Ikea ($14.99).<\/p>\n<p>You can also get crafty and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shojistyles.com\/crafts\/abc-paint-shades.htm\">paint<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.familycorner.com\/homegarden\/crafts\/decoupage_lamp.shtml\">decoupage<\/a> a regular lampshade with ghostly images, either for your baby bat&#8217;s room or as a decorative table lamp anywhere.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I keep running across references to this lamp based on Marcel Dzama&#8217;s Saddest Ghost painting (I&#8217;d have to say &#8220;loosely based&#8221;).
