{"id":774,"date":"2008-07-15T07:15:18","date_gmt":"2008-07-15T11:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shadowmanor.com\/blog\/?p=774"},"modified":"2008-07-14T20:41:35","modified_gmt":"2008-07-15T00:41:35","slug":"true-blood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shadowmanor.com\/blog\/?p=774","title":{"rendered":"True Blood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alan Ball, the creator of <I>Six Feet Under<\/I>, has a new series launching this September.  <a href=http:\/\/www.hbo.com\/events\/trueblood\/\">True Blood<\/a> is based on author Charlaine Harris&#8217; <I>Southern Vampire Mysteries<\/I> books, and details the coexistence of vampires and humans in a small Louisiana town after a synthetic blood substitute hits the market.<\/p>\n<p>As seems to be de rigeur any more, there are a couple of viral sites associated with the series.  <a href=\"http:\/\/bloodcopy.com\/\">BloodCopy<\/a> is a blog which purports to detail the integration of vampires into human society.  <a href=\"http:\/\/trubeverage.com\/\">Tru Blood<\/a> is a &#8220;marketing&#8221; site for the synthetic blood.  It&#8217;s cute; the site is aimed at the young, hip vampire demographic and even includes a Type Finder to determine the blood type you&#8217;ll like best.
