Oh, No! It’s Another Week of Link Dumps

January 12th, 2015 by Cobwebs

My name is Cobwebs (“Hi, Cobwebs!”) and it’s been 28 days since my last week of link dumps. Sometimes I just can’t help myself, you guys.

Got.Black – Social networking site for people who consider themselves part of the Goth/Industrial/EBM subculture.

Stopping Time – A “forever 39” steampunk-themed party. I really like the candy-filled lightbulb favors.

Why You Should Never, Ever, Ever Get a Tattoo (but Having a Baby is Fine) – This is not so much “funny” as “horrifyingly accurate.” Tattooed moms can compare and contrast.

Dustin Poche’ – Multimedia sculptor who makes gorgeous “fine art” figures, many Halloween-themed. (via Shellhawk’s Nest)

Harry Potter Travel Posters – Vintage-style travel agency posters advertising points of interest from Harry Potter.

American Grotesque – Retrospective of “grotesque, occult, and erotic images by the forgotten Hollywood photographer William Mortensen.” There’s a NSFW look inside here.

Fairy Post Office – Whimsical little art installation residing in a hollow tree.

Poetic Licence – Marvelously gothy shoes. (via Cat)

We’ve Finally Figured Out Ghosts, Everyone – This exchange made me giggle.

Gallery of 3D Tattoos – A couple of these are really eye-bending.

Dustin Poche is amazing! I wish he sold prints or postcards or tote bags or something in my price range.

I want to do this for my birthday!!! No. I want someone else to do this for my birthday!!!

OMEGs, that was amazing. My sister’s response (then-mother of 4) upon seeing my first tattoo: “What a waste of pain.” While shaking her head.

Where do I find that post office?! The USPS refuses to accept Faeri stamps (duh, they refuse German stamps, too) but they also simply won’t deliver to the Brownie Under My Sink or the Nymph I Met on the Danube. I think my letter to the Changeling Living In My Sister’s House got through—at least, it didn’t get returned—but I’m not really sure that wasn’t just because they didn’t know any better. Anyway, I’m so glad that Fae is opening local post offices so that we can get some mail through.

The ghosts figured out that you figured them out and broke your link.
