Ultimate–No, Really–D&D Game Room

March 9th, 2010 by Cobwebs

Game RoomThe Burntwire Brothers spent two years customizing a room in their house just for playing Dungeons and Dragons. Decor includes iron-bound doors, sconces, swords, horned skulls, medieval-looking chandeliers (with dimmers that the DM can control), hidden strobes, fog machines, and a simply ridiculous number of books and modules. You can see more photos and a few design notes here.

Even if you’re tepid about D&D, the decor is great inspiration for adding a dungeon-esque element to any room in the house. I would absolutely love a library decorated like this.

I would have killed for a D&D room like this 20 years ago.

Now I’d still like it, but would add more macabre elements ;)

OMG, I saw this the other day and it looks awesome! I don’t know that I’d want it in my house (I’m not that into D&D anymore), but I’d love to play here—maybe this guy could make some cash renting it out…

Of course, with these kinds of surroundings, costumes are a must and that’s even better!

(Which, in turn, reminds me of this Chick tract, which is always good for a laugh…)
