Lucy in the Sky with Link Dumps
How to Dress Goth – For those of us who might need instructions.
Cufflinks – Etsy seller which specializes in cufflinks made from Legos. The little skull cufflinks are cute (and would probably be DIY-able). Also has another Etsy store, Gr0glmann, which does Lego jewelry.
Bride of Frankenstein – Gallery of “Bride” images.
Amazingly Designed “It’s a Boy!” Card – This is brilliant. (Not precisely NSFW, but might make you slightly uncomfortable if your boss is staring over your shoulder.)
Haunted Memory Box – Instructions for making and decorating a ridiculously cute little box for spooky mementos.
Vampire e-Reader Sleeve – Good inspiration for a custom e-Reader cover.
How to Apply Henna (Mehndi) on Your Hands – Nice tutorial, including some design tips.
Play Dead – Potential movie (they need funding to finish it) that appears to amount to “The Incredible Journey” with zombies.
Custom Cranium – Maker of “snuff stuffies” and other osteo-oddities. I particularly like this hat.
I, Cthulhu – Amusing short story by Neil Gaiman.

I think my favorite thing about the goth and steampunk aesthetics is that they’re so uniquely the person wearing them. This may be why I’m drawn to them—most people seem to be Gap or J. Crew clones, with a Brooks Brother thrown in here or there, but a goth! a goth is unique and doesn’t care who knows it. Generally this means that they’re a person I look forward to getting to know (although they’re probably often turned off by my seeming clonishness).
I just saw a woman in the cafeteria with welding goggles on—my first article of steampunk clothing—and I greeted her. We smiled at each other with a hint of recognition. Maybe I’ll see her at the Edison some night.

I’m rereading I, Cthulhu and forgetting how awesome an author Neil Gaiman is:
My mind whirrs with the possibilities of movement—better even than flying!—that would be made easier with badminton rackets…or birdies!
