Jessica Joslin – Artist who combines metal and bone to make amazingly intricate “taxidermy” sculptures.

Spine Candles – I like these, but I can’t quite countenance spending $50 apiece for them. I wonder if it would be possible to DIY a rubber mold using a plastic skeleton spine for the cast.

Savage Chickens – Spot the differences! (Hat tip to xJane)

Iron Fist Bikinis – Bikinis with monstrous motifs. In particular, the zombie, “excuse me ma’am but your cleavage is staring at me” design amuses me.

Musical Parody of “Silence of the Lambs” – I think my favorite part of this article is that the description of a chorus of dancing lambs is immediately followed by, “It all comes from a place of respect.”

Dead Beautiful – Cosmetic company Illamasqua is teaming up with a British funeral director to provide makeovers to the dead. (Hat tip to Linda)

The Whole Death Catalog – Anecdotes and facts about, y’know, death.

You Will Never Guess What This Ad is About – Amusing advertisement. (via Cat Winterfox)

Ten Disturbing Home Decorations – I think the “taxidermied Hitler” rug probably tops the list.

Medium Large: Lord Voldemort Edition – :::giggle:::

  1. xJane Says:

Based on the ad, Illamasqua is dedicated to turning corpses into B-movie style psychics. I guess that helps the the psychic when it comes time to hold a seance: “I. Am. Aunt Betsy.” “Wow, and she looks just like her, too!”

Also, my favorite part of that commercial is that it’s all in German: the undisputed Language of Creepy Shit.

I hear you on the candles…we thought the same way, cool….but can we make those :D

Thanks as always for the great links!
