   …I’ve never known a saw to not sound creepy. Maybe I just only listen to creepy-saw music.

   I agree. Musical saws sound a lot like a theramin.

   I grew up in Little Egypt so can say from personal experience that you can’t really beat a Musical Saw, Washtub Bass, Little Brown Jug, Harmonica, Banjo and Accordian ensemble for hair raising, finger-nail on the blackboard excitement.
