The Art of Darkness

Young Link Dumps in Love

Random Name Generators – Loads of generators for helpful things like titles of magic books, fairy names, and aliens.

Clouds – This Medium Large strip made me giggle.

It’s Worse Than We Thought – Insanely-complicated cross stitch based on a panel from the Walking Dead comic book.

Epic Star Wars Wedding Photo – It’s not goth, but I adore the layout.

Insectomanie – Wonderfully creepy embroidered bugs by artist Catherine Rosselle.

“The Ring” Wake-Up Prank – Guy decided to see what his girlfriend would do if she woke up to find a “ghost” emerging from the TV screen. Other than “get a new boyfriend.” (Reading about other pranks he’s pulled in the video description, he sounds like kind of a dick.)

North American Lake Monsters – Collection of short stories by Nathan Ballingrud. Tor has one of the stories, The Monsters of Heaven, available free online.

The Best Black Plants – A roundup, plus a book recommendation. (Hat tip to Terri)

Night Witches – Interesting article about female fighter pilots in WWII who had one of the most badass names ever.

Motomichi – Site of artist Motomichi Nakamura where you can buy things like a Mongolian Death Worm plush and Mothman wall decals.

Germans are way closer to the existence of witches than any other culture I have encountered. Every garden has a shiny ball called a Hexenball (witch-ball) to keep witches away (they see their [naturally] ugly faces distorted even more in the reflection of the ball and flee in terror). It is completely unsurprising that, in the midst of war, they named this Russian regiment die Nachthexen—potentially before even seeing that the pilots were women (although that is pure speculation).

I have never seen a mouth like that woman screaming. That was like something from a horror movie. And if that was my boyfriend I would go absolutely mental. We love trying to scare each other but that would cross the line. I have to give credit to that girl for not dying of fear right then.

“Seriously, there are children looking up here.” Haha.
I should start cross-stitching more often. Gads those are cool.
I would NOT be hugging the man if he pulled that prank on me. I noticed the comments were disabled. I’m hoping he got lots of hate for that one.
I need that book. My wishlist is always growing.
Night Witches! NIGHT. WITCHES. Loved everything about that. Mhm.

That prank guy is a total dick.
