This skit pretty much proves that whomever created legalese was way too enamored of liturgical turns of phrase. Either that or really did think that Justice was a deity.
This also reminds me of German, however, and the fact that my sisters and I will often end sentences with “…haben geworden sein.” (“…had was is.”), a legitimate and terrifyingly common means of ending a German sentence in a grammatically-correct way, but also a commentary on the stupidity of German grammar.
