The Link Dump Around the Corner
Malayan Flying Fox – This photo of a hanging bat is lovely. I love the light shining through its wing.
Playing with Fear – Kickstarter for a documentary on the history of horror-themed video games. There’s a teaser clip.
Silver Broomstick Necklace – Intriguing, rustic-looking broomstick. This would be a great gift for a witch.
The Ginvent Calendar – Like an advent calendar. Only with gin.
Bat Tea Light Holder – Attractive wall-mounted bat candleholder. The same site has lots of other gothy items too.
Omnia Oddities – Really unusual resin jewelry featuring silhouettes of bats and spooky trees.
Corset-Story – Huge selection of corsets and related apparel, including a whole section of steampunk stuff.
Sharkini – This “shark bite” swimsuit is all kinds of awesome.
Lich-House – Short story by Warren Ellis.
The Smithsonian Will Allow 3-D Printing of Artifacts – If you’ve got access to a 3-D printer, this is a pretty fantastic resource. The collection of patterns is small at the moment, but should continue to grow. (Hat tip to WitchArachne)

O.M.G.
I do hope that 3-D printers come down in price soon!

It looks like a leaf!
How much do I want that advent calendar? So much.
That tea light holder is gorgeous!
Those bracelets are also incredible—I wish I wore bracelets more (all that typing—it gets in the way).
Corset Story is one of those places I’d like to have a shopping spree at.

I’m so ridiculously excited about the potential of 3D printing for archaeology that I can’t even talk about it because every time I start it turns into an essay about technology and science and the sharing of cultures in a global communtiy and I can tell I’m being boring and rambly but there’s no way I can summarise it without being too simplistic so I just yay.

Oof, that is a chilling story.

I love the tea light holder, so beautiful! The resin bangles are lovely and interesting as well. And I really, really want a 3D printer.
