The Art of Darkness

The Link Dump Runner

Plants vs. Zombies Party – Cute kid’s birthday party theme.

Plush Life Size Great Dragon – Yours for only $13,000. Also I want to know how they know it’s “life size.”

The Iron Shoes – Platform shoes meant as a tribute to Game of Thrones. They’re cute, but a bit pricey for something that could be DIY’d with cocktail picks and glue.

Hall of Heroes – Art print featuring 80 ass-kicking women from TV and movies.

Dress Like Twin Peaks – Paste Magazine has put together a brief style guide for capturing various characters’ iconic looks. Yes, even the Log Lady.

What if Hogwarts Had a Mandatory Sex Ed Class – File this under, “Things nobody really needed to think about.”

Ghost Forest Yakisoba – Great recipe for noodles with fish-cake ghosts and violently violet cabbage.

Underwhelming Lovecraft Monsters – “Not-very-scary depictions of H.P. Lovecraft’s most feared cosmic creatures” (Hat tip to Pixel Pixie)

Vincent Price Laugh – An excellent sample for a ringtone. (via Jan)

This War of Mine – Interesting-sounding video “war game” in which you don’t wage war, you try to keep a band of civilian survivors safe.

You can tell from the size of its eyes that this remains a juvenile. So I guess it’s “life size” for a teen. Plus the brown skin makes it clear that it’s about to molt. I mean, I definitely expect better from Hansa, whose plush animals are usually biologically accurate, but maybe they couldn’t pay a real dragonologist to give them accurate information.

I clearly need to get my craft on with all these GoT inspired cocktail sword items.

Harry was hoping that the room would be filled with dementors and Lord Voldemort instead

Accurate. Although I am kind of in love with the thought of a dentata spell.

Yeah…I definitely turned it into a ringtone (if anyone wants to save time, I’ll send them an .m4r) but I don’t remember who I assigned it to…
