The Art of Darkness

Men, Women & Link Dumps

Adagio Teas – Sells “fandoms samplers” with collections referencing “Welcome to Night Vale,” Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, and lots more.

Jewelry Made from Fake Food – Wearable items made from realistic-looking fake food. I like the bacon brooch.

Free Crochet Skull Patterns – Roundup of patterns from various sources.

Mage Studio – Jewelry and accessories made from pretty D&D dice.

Victorian Cliff House – Some old photos of a very precariously-perched, but completely gothy and awesome, mansion in San Francisco. It looks like there’s a restaurant there now. Poop.

KISS Garden Gnomes – I like this makeover much better than the zombie ones.

Fairy Godmother Cabinet – Assemblage artwork made for a “fairy godmother” swap.

Choi Xoo Ang – Artist who creates surreal, really creepy, sculptures. NSFW-ish.

Croshame – Hey, neat; I didn’t know these guys had an Etsy shop. Lots of weird little amigurumi like Baphomet and Sid & Nancy.

Cobra Cake – Despite its intricate appearance this loooong cake is made of halved bundt cakes and Rice Krispie treats, so it’s actually fairly DIY-able.

I bookmarked the garden gnomes and the fairy godmother links. I would like to do both of them although it will be a fairy gothmother cabinet instead.

    Those skull patterns are awesome!

Adagio is amazing tea. I’m so tempted to buy myself the “Town we do not speak of sampler” because Welcome to Nightvale is pretty cool, if you haven’t listened to any of it you should, it’s weird and awesome, my favorite podcast.

I MUST CROCHET ALL THE THINGS.

I love Adagio teas, I really do, but their “fandom” blends are blends-made-by-fans and are usually really amateurish blends of things that may-vaguely-have-something-to-do-with-the-character-or-series-in-question-but-should-never-be-put-into-hot-water-together. It’s kinda disappointing. (For example, My Dear Watson is horrifying.)

That said, their house blend Grainne Mhaille (named for the pirate queen) is delicious and the amateur blend Sky Pirate Blend #02 is amazing and really does make me think of moments spent flying in my dirigible through the clouds.

My mother was my maths teacher in grade school and she had multiple sets of dice-earrings: 8-sided, 12-sided, 20-sided…maybe some others. It was only much later in life that I realized my mother was wearing gaming dice.

What do you mean “Poop” there’s a restaurant? That means you can visit! Rent it for your birthday! Get people together for high tea there!!

I was with that cobra cake until it was covered in those nasty star/flower frosting things.
