Elf Spotting Certificate – A recent John Oliver segment mentioned the Icelandic Elf School, where you can earn an honest-to-goodness certificate in Elf Spotting. Just in case you don’t want to go to Iceland and spend thousands of dollars, “Last Week Tonight” has kindly created a free downloadable certificate which is every bit as effective.

Addams Family Baby Crib – The prop crib used for “Pubert” in Addams Family Values is up for auction right now. There are a couple of good photos that would be useful for reference in DIYing your own.

Science Chamber of Horrors – “Presenting the freakiest and most terrifying aspects of science, scientists, and nature.” (via pdq)

Black Bath Bombs – The copy is a little breathless, but these gothy bath bombs are pretty neat.

Tinkercast – Etsy shop which sells tights covered with silicon scales. Bored Panda has photos of several different styles.

Feisty Pets – Stuffed animals that snarl when you squeeze them. (Hat tip to Goth Gardening)

How Do I Get a Reincarnation Permit? – I’m mainly just tickled that China has a Buddha database.

Thimbleweed Park – Ars Technica reviews a game that they compare favorably to some of LucasArts’ best stuff.

A few years ago I saw a giant millipede on sale at a local Vennie’s Bow wow shop. Personally I want a tailless whip scorpion as a pet. Can’t find them anywhere at stores and I do not live anywhere they are indigenous.
You’d think they would be good sellers, long lived, easy to carefore, harmless, nasty mean looking and not endangered and make good pets.
