Depicteur – Company which will turn a photo into an oil painting, including fantasy treatments that will make your housepet look particularly majestic.

#dinodinaseries – Photographer Jorge Saenz uses some plastic dinosaur friends in his travel photos, and the results are adorable and wholesome.

The Haunted Dollhouse – Interesting-sounding subscription service in which you build a dollhouse and solve puzzles to unveil a tale of horror.

Calvin and Hobbes Nursery Mural – This is a great mural in its own right, but the same wall-projector technique could be used with other, spookier images.

Horror Europa – A sequel to Mark Gatiss’ “A History of Horror” which explores European horror cinema. (Hat tip to Pixel Pixie)

Crispy, Crunchy, Crawly – Article (with recipes) discussing the tradition of eating bugs in Japan.

yo bro is it safe down there in the woods? yeah man it’s cool – Artist Tomislac Jagnjic has awesome titles for his artwork.

Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters – Neat coffee-table book about del Toro’s “Films, Notebooks, and Collections.”

Doc Martens Museum Collection – Docs decorated with classic paintings. I am heartbroken that the Bosch ones are sold out.

Mythical Beast Travel Posters – Retro-look travel posters which advertise the mythical creatures of various destinations. These are available as prints and are completely wonderful.

So *not* going to Russia! Those critters are freaky looking. Also, I want pictures of my cats as members of Queen Elizabeth’s court.

I cannot be doing with eating insects. My Burmese friend Mi Mi loves crickets, but the texture just seems offputting to me. Like eating a prawn with the shell on.
