Skull Ornaments
Stolloween–whose creativity never fails to amaze–has a tutorial for making gorgeous skull ornaments using cheap plastic bulbs and craft foam. These are fairly simple to do but wonderfully effective.
I especially like the look of a bunch of these massed together on a tree or in a decorative bowl. You could get an assembly line going and do a lot of different designs, then make them the centerpiece of your decorating scheme.
Since they’re shatterproof, you could nestle one in the center of a large bow and use it to decorate gifts. They’d also make an unusual placecard/party favor for a holiday dinner.

That is FANTASTIC. That basic idea could be used to create all kinds of designs. I have never tried shrinking craft foam. I didn’t know it could be done. Now I may have to try it, because that is so cool.
