You’re Always Welcome…
In much the same way that the original Sesame Street was inappropriate for children,* The Muppet Show was marvelously dark and subversive.
The other day I got to thinking about one skit I particularly got a kick out of, and was delighted to discover that it’s been uploaded to YouTube. This is Marisa Berenson singing Shel Silverstein’s You’re Always Welcome at Our House.
Now that’s entertainment.
*Does this make your head swim? It does mine.

I had forgotten all about this one! I love the Muppets (anything to do with Hensen Productions actually), they’re even more fun now I’m ‘all growed up”. Funny how the ratings system was so much different when we were young – I doubt the Dark Crystal would get a ‘G’ rating now (and how sad our society is becoming for it!). Thanks for finding this one, it made my day! (and you’re always welcome at my house….hee hee)

Yep, I can see I’m going to be humming this one for a while yet.
