ClownFails – Clowns that are far from funny. Some neat ideas for “evil clown” makeup, though. (via Empress Pam)

Instructables Halloween – Helpful collection of Halloween-related tutorials.

Shark Knife – Unintentionally hilarious “weapon.”

Super Creepy Pokemon Hack – Probably somewhat creepier if you actually play Pokemon, but still an interesting description of a hacked game.

Aged Wood Spider Chest – Pretty piece at Etsy; probably wouldn’t be too hard to DIY.

Mila’s Daydreams – A mom’s maternity leave hobby is imagining what her baby is dreaming and adding props to re-create it. (Cute imagery, although I have to say that when Shadowboy was that age, I was more interested in using his naptime for things like showering.)

The Buried Soul: How Humans Invented Death – Archaeological/sociological investigation into burial/liminal rites. Sounds like an interesting read. (Hat tip to pdq)

Punk Cupcakes – Great decorating job.

Wow, Mila’s Daydreams is the creepiest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Also? that child either sleeps like a rock or was drugged. Even more also? How long will this continue? I’m imagining a 15 year old locking her doors so mommy doesn’t sneak in with the camera and props. Final also? Where did she get all those props (some are clearly socks but others are clearly not…)‽
