All-black Chickens – BoingBoing mentions the “perfect for goth urban homesteaders” (har, har) Indonesian Ayam Cemani chicken, which is completely black and sells for $199 per chick. Somebody in the comments mentions that the same breeder sells Swedish black chickens, which look identical to the untrained eye, for half that. That’s a teensy bit pricey unless you’re an awfully rich goth urban homesteader, but they’re still pretty neat.
